Detective: Tell me what you saw happened to Martin Deller.
Carol: It was awful. That bear thing charged right toward us, and I remember feeling arms grab me from behind. It was Martin. I think he was trying to shield himself away from it. The bear just swiped me aside, though, and I landed in some boxes. It was like the bear wanted him specifically. Like it chose him out of the crowd. Then, it… [Carol becomes visibly distressed.]
Detective: It’s okay, Carol. Take your time.
Carol: I’ve never seen so much blood. He screamed so much. There were pieces of him everywhere. I can’t stop thinking about it.
