Field report by Detective Emily Valiant, 3/22/26.

I’ll summarize my field report observations here. It was a massacre, Chief. The amount of damage caused, the amount of people torn about was nauseating. But then we found the ones that Arkty got to. At first, we didn’t know they were people. They looked like large hives, jutting out at weird angles, swarms of bees on guard. We were afraid to approach without proper Apiary gear, hence why it took a little longer to uncover what they actually were. Once we got close, however, we saw it: underneath the honeycombs and solidified amberlike honey, were people.

We thought they were dead, at first. Then I saw a pupil dilate when I shined a light across an eye frozen in fear. They were still alive. Barely breathing, but alive in there. That accounts for most of the injured, with six of them being children who were there for the special tour. Those children seem to have taken it the hardest. They’ve barely spoken after being pulled out from underneath those hives.

There’s been no trace of either the Mascot outfit, or the large bear since. The Deller’s company is trying to get affairs in order in the chain of command, though I don’t see them continuing to operate in the area much longer.
